MLP Pickleball League (fall 2025)

Join us on Friday Nights for a fun, recreational MLP styled pickleball league. This league is a team focused MLP style. Teams consist of 2 men and 2 women. Each team will play in a MLP match each week which consists of 1 women's match, 1 men's match, and two mixed matches. If teams are tied 2-2 at the end they must play a team wide singles match called a DreamBreaker.

WHEN?

October 10th - Dec 12th 
     There will be no games on Halloween or Thanksgiving Weekend. The last two weeks of the season will be playoffs. 

Friday Nights 

Matches will take place at either 6:00pm or  7:30pm 

COST? 

$60 (includes team t-shirt) 

Player Evaluations will take place on Friday, October 10th from 6pm to 8pm. 

Information: 

• This is a draft league. Players will be drafted on teams by team captains after the assessments have been completed on October 10th.
  Don't worry.. everyone makes a team! We utilize a draft to spread talent throughout the league.
• We seek to make this a competitive league and will split the league into divisions based on skill levels. 
  
• Teams will receive a match schedule at the start of the season.  
  
• Standings throughout the league will be based on a points system.
• Games will be to 15, win by 2. MLP format follows a different gameplay format. This format includes rally scoring, and players remaining on the same side of the court. Never done it before? That's okay. We will teach you how it works & trust us, it is a fan favorite!

Other Important Info:

• At the Ortega Life Center, we seek to provide a fun, competitive & family friendly environment which to play sports. 
• Players are required to attend a short 5 minute devotional directly before or following their game. 
• This league focuses on the love of pickleball, competitive games & the social dynamic of the game. This league is for anyone 15 years & older.
